Pack 713 Space Derby

The 2011 space derby will be held November 5th at the Knights of Columbus hall.  Check in of rockets begins at 8 am.  Please see the attached flyer with information. Please read all rules & tips at this link http://www.pack713.com/home/event/space-derby/space-derby-rules--tips.  The tips are quite helpful so please take the time to read them.

Please note:  The attached flyer is 2 pages.  The 2nd page includes instructions on assembly.  The rubber bands will be installed the day of the derby AFTER your rocket is checked in. 

Siblings & parents can enter & race rockets in the outlaw division.

CUBE - Oct 8th & 9th

All Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and Newly Joining WEBELOS Buckaroos are invited to attend the North District CUBE 2011: Cub Scout Corral
October 8th and 9th     Farmers Branch Historical Park

Enjoy crafts, games, cooking, BB shooting and archery.  Activities will begin at the start of each session and will be conducted as a “round robin”.  Be on time so you won’t miss any of the fun.  Check in at the registration desk at the Marathon Gas Station located in the center of the park to get your schedule and patch.  This event is for Tigers, Wolves, Bears, NEWLY joining WEBELOS and their adult partner(s) only (sorry, no siblings. Each Scout MUST have an adult partner).  Farmers Branch Historical Park is located at 2540 Farmers Branch Lane.  There is limited parking at the park.  Overflow parking is available in the Office tower parking lot south of the Historical Park on Ford Road.

Cost: $10.00 per Scout

Three sessions will be offered - choose a session and come join the fun
Saturday    10/8    (10:00am to 1:15pm)
Saturday    10/8    (2:00pm to 5:15pm)
Sunday        10/9    (2:00pm to 5:15pm)

Pack 713 is now using Scout Manage to track advancements - parents will input advancements as they are signed off. See the link to Scout Manage on the left. If you have not received a login yet, please request one from Steve.

North District Fall Roundup

Leaders, Assistants and Parents -
Come out to the Annual North District Scouting Programs Fair (formerly known as Fall Roundup). This a great opportunity for unit leaders to meet other unit leaders and visit with organizations around the area that can provide services, or activity opportunities to your Scouting units. Door prizes will also be given away at the Fair.
Great ideas and resources for your den and pack meetings this year!

Join Scouting Night

Thursday September 8, 6:30 pm - Mary Immaculate School Cafeteria
All parents and boys, in grades 1st through 8th are welcome to come to Join Scouting Night meeting on Thursday, September 8th. Leaders from Pack 713 and Troop 713 will be in the Mary Immaculate School Cafeteria at 6:30 pm to provide parents with information on scouting and register new Cub Scouts/Webelos/Boy Scouts.
